Deadline Extension: By Monday this week, we have received about 120 paper submissions to this year's TRIPLE-I. Still, many authors have asked for an extension of the deadline. We therefore will keep our submission system open and will extend the submission deadline until April 28, 2008. We hope that you will find the time to prepare and submit a paper for the special track "Knowledge Services".
The I-KNOW ‘08 Special Track on Knowledge Services addresses an application area for service-oriented architectures and web(-based) services. Knowledge Services shall support the work of knowledge workers and their organizations by making use of (semantic) structures underlying available resources. Thus, this workshop focuses on the intersection of the topics of web services, service-oriented architectures, ontologies, process, task and competence models and (professional) social networks. Original papers are solicited and will be reviewed by a board of international experts.
Topics include but are not limited to:
- Integration into enterprise knowledge infrastructures, collaborative systems, knowledge and learning management systems as well as personal knowledge environments, i.e. the workplace of knowledge workers
- Adequate functionality offered by and definition of such knowledge services
- Typology of knowledge services
- Granularity of the functionality to be encapsulated into knowledge services
- Technologies, architectures and infrastructures for knowledge services
- Mobile and ambient knowledge services
- Trust, reputation and cultural aspects concerning knowledge services
- Design and development of knowledge services
- Annotation of knowledge services with (semantic) metadata
- Discovery of knowledge services
- Service orchestration
- Services for social networks and community services
- Services for creation, analysis and maintenance of domain and process models
